Official Menu For 2016 Emmy Awards Has Been Revealed

No cliffhangers here: If you're wondering what your favorite television stars will be eating at the Governors Ball after the 68th Emmy Awards, the official menu is has been revealed.

Patina Catering returns for its 21st year as the official caterer of the Emmy Awards Governors Ball, which will take place Sept. 18 immediately following the awards telecast.

The menu, created by Patina Restaurant Group master chef and founder Joachim Splichal, executive chef of culinary Gregg Wiele, and executive pastry chef Frania Mendivil, is inspired by the event theme "Nature's Elegance."

Splichal and his elite catering team have worked with local farmers and foragers to develop the "rustic, from-the-earth menu" that will be served to more than 7,000 guests — the nation's largest, annual, formal, sit-down dinner, according to a release.

"Our vision for this year's dinner extends beyond the plate," Splichal said. "It begins with an intention to maintain the quality and integrity of the ingredients we have sourced from the farmers and foragers we rely on as partners and friends. As we honor the source, we pay homage to a new concept of luxury—we celebrate the true elegance of nature."

Approximately 200 chefs and 18 executive chefs will be working on site at multiple event kitchens to execute this menu.
