Michael Symon Effectively Bans Donald Trump From His Restaurants

Chef Michael Symon is usually known as the happy-go-lucky, bacon-loving chef on The Chew, but he has some serious choice words for one politician: Donald Trump (who else?).

"There's not a chance I'd let him into any of my restaurants," Symon told the Cleveland CBS Sports Talk radio show The Fan in a phone interview.

Symon was referring to the Republican National Convention, which will be taking place next month at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, where Trump is expected to accept the Republican nomination. Nearby the arena are two of Symon's restaurants, Lola and Mabel's.

"I've been fortunate or unfortunate enough to meet him through the years. Anybody that knows me knows I'm not afraid to speak my mind, so there's that. But this isn't a Democratic/Republican thing, trust me. It's just that he creeps me out."

Trump has reportedly said that he wants to fill the arena with well-known personalities and celebrities, but Symon will (clearly) not be a part of the crowd.
