'Kardashian Friend' Jonathan Cheban Plans Burger Chain For Long Island, Then Dubai

Jonathan Cheban, the publicist, occasional reality television personality and close friend of Kim Kardashian West, is planning to open a burger restaurant in Lynbrook, Long Island, reports Patch.com in an article entitled, "Kardashian Friend Opening Burger Place in Lynbrook."

The fast-casual restaurant will serve burgers that are larger than a slider, but smaller than your typical burger, and the general atmosphere will be a "cross between Five Guys and a Shake Shack," Cheban told The Wall Street Journal of his new venture.

Cheban reportedly chosen Long Island as his home base because it was a "normal place" rather than a big city, and has definite expansion plans that go as far as Dubai, where he has an offer for seven Burger Bandits.

"There are places all over the world that are missing burger places," Cheban told The Wall Street Journal. Cheban is also the owner of a Japanese restaurant in Miami Beach called Sushi Couture.

"I'm really proud of him," Kim Kardashian told The Wall Street Journal. "I love it when people do entrepreneurial kinds of things."
