Uber Is Giving Out Free Pizza To New Yorkers This Week

Uber may have given up on its food delivery service, but that doesn't mean it can't be a source of lunch for urban ride-seekers. Starting today, May 2, Uber is celebrating its fifth anniversary of service in New York with $5 pooled rides and a free slice of pizza for customers in a different borough every day.

For example, Monday, ride pools anywhere on Staten Island cost $5, and you could have walked into Joe and Pat's pizzeria on Victory Boulevard, shown them your Uber app, and gotten a free slice of pizza anytime between 11 am and 6 pm. Uber will be doing this every day with different participating pizzerias for the rest of the five boroughs. Check out the schedule below so you can snag cheap carpool rides and free pizza:

Tuesday, May 3: The Bronx — Emilio's Pizza and Full Moon Pizzeria

Wednesday, May 4: Queens — Rizzo's Fine Pizza, Artichoke Basille's, and Lillian Pizzeria

Thursday, May 5: Brooklyn — Williamsburg Pizza, the Two Boots location in Park Slope, and Di Fara

Friday, May 6: Manhattan — six Two Boots locations, Artichoke Basille's, Rizzo's Fine Pizza, Williamsburg Pizza
