There's Going To Be An Animated Film Inspired By PEZ Candies

PEZ is coming to a big screen near you.

PEZ Candy Inc. has signed a deal with Envision Media to make an animated movie. Cameron Fay, screenwriter for The Three Stooges Movie, will write the script, and David Buelow and Lee Nelson, CEO and founder of Envision Media, are on board as producers.

"PEZ Candy is beloved by children and adults alike," Nelson told Deadline. "With Cameron Fay we've created a world unique to Pez and a story that will touch the hearts of many."

There are no details yet about what the plot of the film. PEZ dispensers represent characters in American pop culture, including the Minions, Mickey Mouse and friends, and characters from Frozen.

The sugary candies were created in Vienna over 83 years ago and are still popular today. Hopefully, with PEZ's many characters, the movie will be something like The Lego Movie — and will include a lot of sugar.
