Nike Designs A Chicken And Waffles-Themed Sneaker, And It's Pretty Awesome

Inspired by the favorite meal of several Nike SB pros, the company has designed a Chicken and Waffles-inspired version of the Dunk High shoe.

The sneaker officially launches this weekend, and will be available beginning Saturday, April 2 on Nike.com and at local Nike SB retailers for $110, according to Nike.

Described as "soul food for your feet," the "wearable culinary masterpiece" features a special waffle woven fabric upper, chicken and waffles artwork on the insoles, and swooshes dripping with syrup.

Previous food-inspired creations from Nike include sneakers inspired by desserts such as Eton mess, strawberry cheesecake, and macarons, reports Eater. In the works is a new "hemp" Dunk Low, to be released on April 20, according to Highsnobiety.
