M&M's Invites Fans To Rock The Vote For The Next Peanut Flavor
Move over Donald Trump — there's a new election in 2016.
M&M's is giving fans the chance to determine the next Peanut M&M's variety to join the iconic original. Through June 17, fans can cast their vote once a day on the brand's Facebook page or by texting the word 'Vote' to 87654, according to a release.
The competitors, Honey Nut, Coffee Nut, and Chili Nut, are vying to maintain their position on retail shelves this fall. They are all available at retailers nationwide for consumers to try in order to place an educated vote.
"At Mars Chocolate North America, we know M&M'S would not be the brand it is today without our fans," said Tanya Berman, director, M&M's Brand. "As we celebrate our 75th Anniversary, 'Flavor Vote' is the perfect opportunity to say thanks by empowering them to write the next chapter in our brand's colorful history by choosing the newest M&M'S Peanut flavor."
Fans that cast their vote are automatically entered for a chance to win $100,000 and earn the title of the official M&M's Taste Tester. The winner of the contest and the Flavor Vote will be announced in August.
