Michelle Bernstein, Jim Meehan To Head Up Food And Cocktails At Upcoming Centurion Lounge At Miami International Airport

Miami-based James Beard Award-winning chef Michelle Bernstein has been tapped to curate the menu of the upcoming Centurion Lounge at Miami International Airport, American Express has announced.

Bernstein, the chef of Seagrape and Crumb on Parchment in Miami, will bring her signature Latin- and Southern-influenced cuisine to the Centurion Lounge with a series of locally inspired and seasonal menus. Chef Bernstein is also the head of culinary direction at Thompson Miami Beach, which includes Seagrape, 1930s House, and the Crown Room.

Mixologist Jim Meehan of PDT (who recently released his own cocktail-making app) will design a series of Miami-inspired cocktails.

The lounge will also feature a spa with complimentary treatments and a family room, as well as access to high-speed Wi-Fi, personal computers, and noise-buffering workspaces.

Previously, American Express teamed up with chefs like Scott Conant, Dean Fearing, and Cedric Vongerichten at its existing Centurion Lounges in Las Vegas (McCarran International), Dallas-Fort Worth, and La Guardia airports, respectively.
