Tailgating breakfast all day, every day.

Dunkin’ Donuts is getting ready for football season with the premiere of a brand new breakfast sandwich to celebrate tailgating. The sandwich, a hybrid between a sausage and peppers hero and a traditional egg sandwich, features eggs, Cheddar, sausage, peppers, ancho chipotle sauce and onions, on top of a French roll.

The Tailgater Breakfast Sandwich will be available all day starting August 31, as part of Dunkin’s initiative to offer breakfast items all day (McDonald’s and other fast food chains also made the switch to all-day breakfast recently).

“The new Tailgater Breakfast Sandwich was inspired by the start of football season and the spirit of great game day grilling,” said Jeff Miller, vice president – executive chef and product innovation at Dunkin' Donuts. “The sandwich brings to life the flavors many associate with the pre-game ritual of tailgating.”

The release of the sandwich also coincides with Dunkin’ Donuts’ new social media sweepstakes which challenges people to explain why they love the concept of “Breakfast Whenvs” in exchange for prizes.
