Dark Side Or Light Side? The (Sweet) Choice Is Yours

Brooklyn-based Ample Hills Creamery, already well-loved for their delicious, creative small-batch ice cream made with local ingredients, now offers two limited edition Star Wars-themed ice cream flavors. And there's no need to choose, unless of course you give away some of your pints, as these limited edition flavors are only sold in packs of four, each pint packaged in collectible containers designed by Ample Hills Creamery's Art Director, Lauren Kaelin.

The Light Side is, "a bright marshmallow ice cream with homemade crispie clusters, as well as a smattering of handmade cocoa crispies (to represent the dark side still lurking within the light)" as described by Ample Hills Creamery, and The Dark Side is, "an ultra-dark chocolate ice cream with espresso fudge brownies, cocoa crispies, and white chocolate pearls (to represent the light still hiding in the dark, waiting to burst through)."

Brian Smith, co-owner of Ample Hills Creamery, said in a statement, "As a sci-fi writer in my past professional life, and a longtimeĀ Star WarsĀ fan, this is a dream collaboration. And to be able to work with Lucasfilm and Disney Consumer Products to create new ice cream flavors that represent the two sides of The Force... that might just be the coolest thing we've ever done."

Order your Star Wars-themed pints at AmpleHills.com. First shipments will arrive beginning December 15, according to The Huffington Post.
