Arby's Will Be Opening Its First Full Restaurant In New York City

Arby's will be opening their very first full restaurant in Manhattan.

The chain reported that sales have increased 9.6 percent in the most recent quarter, which ended on September 30. The new outpost is expected to open in a few weeks and will be located in Midtown on 40th Street and Eighth Avenue — near New York City's very first Chick-fil-A.

There was previously an Arby's at the Manhattan Mall food court that closed in 2008.

Arby's attributes an increase in sales to special promotional items like their "loaded" Italian sub, and brown sugar bacon. There is also a dollar menu special from 2 to 5 p.m. with sliders, small drinks, small fries, and small milkshakes.

"That's a time of day that's slow for us and most other fast-food restaurants," Paul Brown, Arby's Restaurant Group CEO, told The New York Times. "It's increasing business then for us, and also bringing a younger customer."
