Sunset Magazine Names Paso Robles The Best Wine Country Town For 2016

Forget Napa Valley. Sunset Magazine recently named Paso Robles as the Best Wine Country Town for 2016 in its annual Travel Awards, Wine Industry Advisor reported.

Paso Robles Wine Country, established in 1983, currently has more than 200 wineries and 40,000 vineyard acres. It is located along California's Central Coast, midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

"As our fans know, and new visitors are sure to discover, the entire Paso Robles wine community is passionate about what we do and sharing it with our guests," said Jennifer Porter, executive director of the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance. "We are humbled and honored by this recognition, which recognizes the efforts of the entire Paso Robles community that comes together to create the Paso Robles Wine Country experience."

Sunset Magazine, founded in 1898 is "the West's most trusted source of travel information," and its Travel Awards spotlight standout travel destinations, organizations, and businesses in the West Coast across 20 different categories. The winners will be featured in the August 2016 issue.
