It's close to that time again, time for celebrity chef sightings, gorging on exceptional burgers, fancy fried chicken, and finding that pair of pants with the elastic waist. That's right, it's food festival time, one of the most exciting in the country: the 2012 Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival. As always, The Daily Meal's editors will be attending NYCWFF, but this year, we want to see you there, too! And we have some tickets to make that happen. PACKAGE ONE An autographed book by Lee Schrager and four tickets to Fun and Fit in the City presented by Target hosted by Guy Fieri (Thursday, Oct. 11, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.): "Families can now join their favorite chefs and culinary talent for a fun-filled day of food, fitness, and learning at Fun and Fit in the City presented by Target at Basketball City on Pier 36. PACKAGE TWO An autographed book by Lee Schrager and two tickets to Whole Foods Market presents Shake & Bake with Whoopi Goldberg, Art Smith and guest DJ Questlove (Friday, Oct. 12, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.): "Since she did such a great job filling in as host of the Burger Bash last year, we decided to give Whoopi Goldberg her own event! The Oscar-winning actress and co-host of The View is teaming up with Chicago’s Art Smith (who formerly served as Oprah’s personal chef and is the head chef at Lady Gaga’s parents’ restaurant Joanne Trattoria) to share their love of fried chicken during Shake & Bake."
PACKAGE THREE An autographed book by Lee Schrager and two tickets to Whole Foods Market presents Sandwich Showdown with Food Network's Sandwich King, Jeff Mauro Part of Local presented by The Corcoran Group (Saturday, Oct. 13, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.): "From the simple sandwich lover to the most astute culinary aficionado, this sumptuous sandwich spree will keep every guest smiling. Join Food Network Star winner, Jeff Mauro, as he hosts this supreme sandwich smack down. PACKAGE FOUR An autographed book by Lee Schrager and two tickets to GODIVA presents SWEET! Celebrating Five Years of NYCWFF sponsored by ZED Moscato Rosé hosted by Sandra Lee with Special Guests (Sunday, Oct. 14, 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.): "Sandra Lee, star of Food Network's Semi-Homemade Cooking will host the event that recognizes the Festival's humble beginnings. Lots of special guests will be dropping by for this anniversary extravaganza! Thanks to you, the consumer, NYCWFF has raised more than $5 million for hunger relief organizations Food Bank For NYC and Share Our Strength, and trust us sweetie when we say we're just getting started."
