New Restaurant Open At All-Inclusive Breezes Bahamas Resort

The "super-inclusive" resort Breezes Bahamas announced the opening of their new nautical-themed restaurant, The Banana Boat, on Dec. 19. The venue is the latest addition to the Nassau resort, which recently completed a renovation of its 391 guestrooms and suites, in addition to updating its lobby and entertainment area, as well as adding free property-wide Wi-Fi.

The Banana Boat replaces the former Main Dining Room, and is the result of a complete $1.5 million renovation. "Not only is the new space more modern with a fresh, contemporary look, but it is also more eco-conscious in its design," said John Issa, chairman of SuperClubs. To highlight the nautical theme, a section of the restaurant is designed in the shape of a bow of a ship, and guests can also enjoy their meals outside at an open terrace.

The new buffet-style restaurant seats up to 300 diners and will serve three meals a day plus a midnight buffet. Diners can compile their meal from a sushi bar, carving station, cheese and wine display, plus a regularly rotating selection of salads, antipasto, breads, soups, and daily specials. The restaurant kitchen features induction cooking to conserve energy. Another new feature to the restaurant is a private dining option for VIPs. Intimately set in an alcove, the Captain's Table will seat up to 10 with waiter service.
