  • Founded in 1996, this zoo is a product of the merger between the Nashville Zoo & Grassmere Wildlife Park. It is home to "Jungle Gym," the largest community-built playground of its kind in the country.
  • $5 for parking now, but members park free. Support your local zoo!

  • Truly a gem. One of the best zoo's I have ever been to. the zoo is always improving itself and adding more interesting exhibits. One of Nashvilles best kept secrets. Plan to spend half a day.

  • Avoid the zoo in May on Monday and Fridays - school field trips = insane kids everywhere!
  • The lorikeets are awesome. Don't skip them and be sure to buy the little cup of nectar to feed them.
  • If you get dippin dots at the Zoofari Cafe, they will give you a bowl for your young'un.
  • Go early morning or late afternoon. 4 pm is great because the animals are lively, knowing it is feeding time.
  • Great zoo and a perfect place to take kids and adults of all ages!

  • Nice walk. If it's cold don't expect to see birds or lemurs. But you get Half off a ticket. If you get there when it opens you beat all the families. Excited about the future kangaroo exhibit!
  • Wonderful zoo, great history. Dr Heather (Zoo Veterinarian) is awesome!
  • Coming from 3-6 is great, less crowd & the animals are moving around more. Some stuff closes earlier though.
  • get a seasons pass, it'll pay for itself in 2 visits and you get free parking.
