First Lady Michelle Obama has succeeded in getting Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and four other chains to start serving healthier meals. The Darden restaurant group behind the six eateries pledged to reduce calories and sodium by 20 percent over 10 years.

Picky kids will have to deal with new standard fruit or veggie sides and low-fat milk, and only adults can request french fries. Mrs. Obama approves.

In related news, Rachael Ray just announced eight recipes designed for school cafeteria lunches, starting a collaboration with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. It's part of her Yum-O! mission, meaning recipes come with names like "Silly Chili con Fusilli" and "Orange You Glad it's Glazed Chicken and Noodles." No word yet on which lucky kids get some Mexi-Mac and Cheese.
