Foursquare Tips

  • Great food and a great scene. -Mary Schmidt Amons, Real Housewives of DC
  • Best rooftop lounge in the city. Good beer on tap and the people that frequent this place are always interesting. When there is a good DJ, this place is perfect.
  • Monday nights are the best for dancing and minglin'-watch out for the elbow matches
  • Go to Marvin for a manfest. The heated porch upstairs is where all the action is.
  • Eat brunch and listen to old school music. Go with the chicken and waffles with a side of cheesy grits. You won't regret it. Check this place out on Monday nights for Happy hr drinks and good music.
  • I like sitting at the bar and the goat chz croquettes are a great app.
  • Manages to mix club kids, slick professionals & intel operatives to great effect. Sidle up to the downstairs bar for a cocktail from Marvin's own Drink Nazi, Josh, & then drink in the scenery.
  • Fried Chicken, Waffles, Collard Greens. Mmm..Mmmm..Mmmmm.
  • THE FRIES ARE KILLER
  • Hit Monday night for Soul Controllers Set. Don't worry about work on Tuesday, the groove from the night before will get you thru! Good music!
  • Several floors with great food downstairs, dancing, mingling and a great rooftop deck with a nice selection of beers. Interesting mix of people.
  • Marvin offers a solid burger using Creekstone Farms beef, Chimay cheese, caramelized onion, bone marrow jam and bacon. Order medium-rare.
  • You must try most nomnom Chicken Fried Oysters!!! Amazing. More tips & pics @ nomnomboris.com
  • Upstairs bar is the place to hang.
  • Come to Marvin on Tuesday nights for Home Base with DJ Daniel Biltmore!
  • Perfect deck for spring and fall.
  • Monday Nights go listen to the dj stylings of DJ Jahsonic!! Get there early..it gets crowded
  • Love the rooftop!! Cool scene
  • This is my favorite bar in all of DC. The rooftop patio is so much fun and the drinks are reasonable. Plus, the food downstairs is tasty, especially the burger. I've never had a bad time here.
  • Was decent circa winter '08, now seriously played out.
