Foursquare Tips

  • Classy chophouse meets whimsy and a bit of irreverence at M. Wells Steakhouse, our 2014 Food & Drink Winner for Best New Steakhouse. Meal highlights: cote de boeuf, foi gras gnocchi, and wedge salad.
  • M. Wells serves things like BBQ mussels on a stick and foie gras-stuffed gnocchi. The fish come from a tank in the kitchen, and the desserts come from a trolley that's wheeled through the dining room.
  • Yes, it's a "steakhouse", but focus on sides like foie gras gnocchi, three types of "pommes" and French onion soup with a bone in it.
  • Just wow. Love the space, my tbone was fantastic and they have poutine!!!
  • Acorn Pork Rack, outstanding. Cocktail: A Well Lubricated Nail. Staff is professional, friendly. Extensive wine list, and good tap beers. One subway stop from midtown, could use a porch light.
  • In Fat We Trust. Go for: poutine, anything w foie gras, sweetbread, or bone marrow. Brisket is ok.
  • Wedge salad. Bone-in burger. Fries. Beers. Great meal for two chicks!
  • Sit at the open kitchen and check out the live trout well
  • Get the beef butter, and be sure to ask for the dessert cart.
  • Don't miss the Solomon Gundy or the captain Korea breakfast
  • A zany, occasionally delicious restaurant, one of very few fine dining options in Queens. Steaks are the weak point; stick to the more inventive parts of the menu.
  • Beware the brisket! And forget the veggies. Burger and T-bone are much better. Poutine is amazing.
  • Cannot go wrong with that brisket. Holy cow.
  • The raw bar and poutine is to die.
  • This place is overpriced but good. Get the cinnamon cake for dessert. The poutine is great and my Canadian friend agrees!
  • Get the cinammon cake!
  • It's all delicious but Caesar salad marrow escargot and of course steaks are unbelievable. Merci.
  • Cool place. The onion bone marrow soups is a decadent onion bacon chili with a hunk of marrow. I suggest ordering the apps/sides to share. Entrees are disappointing in comparison and $$$ for no reason
  • Fantastic starters and steaks. I can personally recommend the Caesar salad, bone marrow onion soup, filet, ny strip and poutine. Beware, the starters are huge and best for sharing.
  • Delicious! I like the open concept in the dining room. Get as many apps as you can and share them!
