Foursquare Tips

  • Try to get a table with bench seats -- the little chairs are miserable. Food is really good esp the fried chicken nachos and banana pudding.
  • Way more parking here than @ the south location. Bucket of chicken is so good. And the banana pudding for dessert is amazing.
  • This very good Fried Chicken and very Austin. It's a must for locals.
  • This second spot is bigger and brighter than the SoCo sibling and includes a larger kitchen. The food is the same, which is to say, outstanding. So much fried deliciousness.
  • Mac n cheese / Fried chicken was scrumptious. Oysters were oooookkkay and nachos were bland, but overall an excellent meal!
  • Fried deviled eggs
  • Awesome brunch!
  • Save room for banana pudding. Seriously.
  • Lucy's Fried Chicken is bringing the fried goodness to North Austin. The opening coincides with a menu expansion including items like "fried chicken nachos" and "chicken spaghetti."
  • The benches are miserable too. Great chicken but I guess they had no budget for comfy chairs.
  • The little chairs are terrible. I kept sliding out and felt like it was torture to balance on two butt bones, but the food was worth it. I hope the Burn-It Bowl becomes a regular menu item.
  • Friendly staff and Leprechaun Golden cider! Great place!!
  • Mediocre. Bland chicken, no seasoning, barely above room temp. Limp greens, not cooked down enough and bitter, boring sweet potatoes with little flavor. Rubbery cornbread muffins. very disappointing.
  • Try the "Austin" oysters!
  • Tried both the fried chicken and tenders. Both excellent! Potato salad was also quality.
  • I ordered the four piece fried chicken basket. Chicken is crunchy and more flavorful here than most places. Sweet tea pie is pretty good. Regret not coming here sooner.
  • Wow! Go family style. Get some chicken, get some oysters, grab a couple sides, wash down with Texas beers. Finish with a slice of pie. Great way to try lots of flavored.
  • Best Fried Chicken! Maxing daily specials too!
  • Food was good but service was slow and unresponsive
  • I love there take on eggs Benedict
