London Cocktail Week: A Festival For The Drink Lovers

From now until October 12, drinks are flowing freely in the English capital thanks to London Cocktail Week, a citywide celebration of all things buzzed and boozy. Over 200 of London's favorite bars are offering £4 cocktails, and there is no shortage of pop-ups, parties, and events paying homage to London's drinkable history, which guarantees a fun night out.

If you want to explore London through its libations, or just throw a few back with friends, here's a short guide for you to get in the spirit(s).

How to Participate: You must buy a wristband for £15 ($24), which allows you access to all the participating bars, tastings, events, and parties.

The Highlights: Mr. Fogg's Bottomless Tipsy Tea: Head to Mr. Fogg's in Mayfair for a twisted tea party on October 12; £60 ($97) gets you two hours of bottomless Tanqueray cocktails served in traditional teapots; Oct 12, 2 to 6 p.m.        

CheekyTiki Pop-Up Bar: The Atomica Gallery in Shoreditch has transformed into a Tiki headquarters this week, hosting a cocktail party, a "Tiki Pop" book signing, rum tastings, talks, and other related events, all for free; Oct 7 to 12, various times.  

Don Julio Mexican Street Festival: Tequila lovers now have a home at Translate Bar, where Don Julio has created a free fiesta of artwork, Mexican street food, pumping music, and the largest tequila selection in all of East London; Oct 6 to 12, 5 to 11:30 p.m.
