Foursquare Tips

  • Fantastic atmosphere for a cold night in Boston. Grab a couch by the window and watch the people passing by.
  • The Boston cream pie was born in the building, there's a warm bowl of nuts at every table, and the whiskey list is long and beautiful. For something different, check out the alcoholic coffee drinks.
  • Excellent Manhattans!
  • THE place to taste the original Boston Cream Pie. Especially when the restaurant is closed.
  • Yes. It's a hotel bar with a good beer selection. Would it be my last hurrah? Eh...
  • One of the most extensive whiskey lists in the state by far!
  • Their Boston cream pie is the real deal here! They have the same one that's being served next door where the famous dessert was invented.
  • The best whiskey list I've seen in a long time. The bar tenders are very knowledgable too!
  • Mmm warm mixed nuts at the bar. Great with a fresh Sam lager.
  • Try the Last Hurrah. Great hangout.
  • Awesome atmosphere and spectacualr beer selection. Feels lien you are transported to a different era :-)
  • Best rolls(thrice buttered) and Boston cream pie!
  • Dark and stormy not as good as at kingfish. But a cozy spot. ++
  • Political pundit is awesome. Peggy and Koffa are awesome!
  • Great atmosphere. Good drinks. Terrible food... At least the Fidel Castro was. Bland and not very interesting.
  • Not a fan of the spring rolls. Decent place to drink they serve warm nuts on the table but the menu is limited.
  • Amazing Boston Cream pie. Small but not overly sweet.
  • Great atmosphere, a classic hotel bar. Terrific scotch selection.
