Foursquare Tips

  • This bar from the folks behind Bourbon garnered a lot of attention from people who like to drink on rooftops before it was even open. There's a selection of tiki cocktails available up on the deck.
  • If scotch isnt your thing, you have plenty of non-scotch options to wet your whistle, including a well-curated selection of bourbons, rye whiskies, craft beer, and cocktails.
  • They have whiskey
  • Say hi to Mitt Romney - he's usually here late on Tuesday nights!
  • Largest scotch selection in the US. Many bottles you can no longer get that are part of Harvey Fry's personal collection. Ask to meet him if he is there. Quite a character!
  • Get an Angel's Envy bourbon neat. You're welcome.
  • Dom treats objects like women, man.
  • No white Russians a bar does not make
  • love hot toddies/cider upstairs. exquisite cocktails down stairs. deuchy crowd at times but not so bad as Georgetown, and atleast full of people who objectively appreciate quality drinks/atmosphere.
  • The Headless Horseman cocktail is tasty and seasonal. It's like pumpkin pie in a glass
  • Play the Something Light roulette.
  • An enormous whiskey-focused bar and restaurant from the owners of Bourbon, Jack Rose features an expansive rooftop deck and a dining room/bar offering more than 700 kinds of Scotch and bourbon.
  • Someone bounced the bouncer by leaving him with a knife in the back! I deduced the killer wasn't his girlfriend/waitress, but rather the Saloon owner who the bouncer was secretly blackmailing.
  • 10pm: Hail a taxi to DCs diverse Adams Morgan neighbourhood for a drink at the Jack Rose Dining Saloon (18th Street; 001 202 588 7388).
  • For as crowded as it gets, the bartenders and staff are attentive and the people are pretty chill.
  • Awesome roof bar!
  • Bulleit rye. Hard to find.
  • Try a mint julep
  • Quality cocktails, but super uptight clientele.
  • Mulled wine is my go to on a winter night!
