The Top Chef victor sprang surprise news that he's opening a sandwich shop...tomorrow!
Ink, the new restaurant by 'Top Chef' champion Michael Voltaggio, features cutting-edge cuisine that is exciting and very much the chef's unique vision.
it's inventive, sure. but don't worry, not everything is covered in foam. i loved the pork and the lamp neck dishes.
Stick toward the top of the menu, where the less-heavy dishes reside.
if they're still available, you absolutely must try the lamb, foie gras and pork belly dishes! cocktails are amazing too
Brussel sprouts best thing I ever ate
All male waitstaff. The hype is real. Portions are also small for the tasting menu. We ordered a Poutine addition. I keep wanting more.
The sea bass, the fluke, the crab, the pork tenderloin, the beef tartare... the service. This place is phenomenal.
Simply dressed kale chiffonade with pumpkin and burrata showcases his more restrained side, while the blowtorched dollops of maple foam crowning the chicken with waffle...
The Must-Have Dishes: This menu changes so often, it’s hard to say. We loved the lamb neck dish with chickpea poutine, the kale-burrata salad, and the octopus.
Went there for my Happy Birthday celebration and it was awesome!
Little known fact: you can enjoy your cocktails out front, as long as you're within the gate. No smoking though.
You lose ur reservation after 15 min
Extremely impressive from a beloved Top Chef. Order the mind-blowing snap peas blessed with liquid nitrogen for the perfect temperature, Halibut, didn't love the apple dessert - gastronomy overload.
beau soleil oysters, crab, foie gras, baja scallops, cuttlefish
Go str8 to the tasting menu. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200.
Try and book on Opentable and don't skip the scallops or foie gras
The Butternut Risotto was good along with the dessert of course.
Pork belly entree and apple dessert with burned wood ice cream should not be missed. Also must get the carrots in frozen coconut milk.

Top Chef winner Michael Voltaggio’s arty penchant for molecular gastronomy doesn’t distract from triumphs such as egg-yolk gnocchi, but it does make Ink as serious as its sexy, all-gray space.
Try eating at the bar - service is still tops and drinks are always at the ready.
one word: hamachi

Amazing. Try the beef tartar!
Great service. Delicious food. The egg yolk gnocchi is superb. Octopus is so great. But the standout was the apple dessert with creme caramel and wood burnt ice cream (somehow it tastes like bacon)
Fantastic inventive dishes. Highly recommend kale lollipop, egg yolk gnocchi, shishito peppers.
Get the corn. And the lamb neck. Amazing. Burrata ice cream starter was disappointing.
Michael Voltagio is widely considered the best Top Chef winner of all the Top Chefs and he doesn't disappoint at his place. Presentation and creativity is truly impressive.
Mint cucumber soda and hamachi!
The octopus is to die for, a must have.
Probably the best restaurant in LA right now (check the date of this tip). Upscale casual environment with creative & excellent food. Enjoy.
Get the charcoal potatoes and the hamachi. Seriously. Do it.
