HIMALAYAN HIGH - Crossing The Himalaya’s On A Vintage Motorbike

Staff Writer
This trek provides some inspiring and impressive views

If you’ve ever longed to hit the road on the back of a motorbike, we’ve found the ultimate adventure that takes you across remote passes to the border of Tibet, crossing the ancient Silk Road and Spiti River Valley and scaling some of the highest peaks in the Himalayan range- on the back of a vintage Royal Enfield Bullet motorbike.

Your 15 day Trans-Himalayan Odyssey begins with a luxury train ride from Delhi to Amritsar where you meet your private guide and pick up your bike to embark on a 125 mile ride into the hills. Explore Dharamshala and Mcleodganj, home to Tibetan exiles and the Dalai Lama; follow the scenic route through the Baspa Valley; visit Tabo, the second most important Buddhist monastery in the Himalayan region; explore Pin Valley, the home of the Snow Leopard; and cross the Jhoola suspension bridge in a wire-sling.

After conquering the challenging terrain, you’ll travel through the Valley of the Gods to Shimla, where you’ll leave your bike and board the narrow gauge railway – one of India’s UNESCO protected railway lines - out of the hills and back to Delhi.
