Foursquare Tips

  • Save yourself some cash and get breakfast at the Wailana coffee house across the street. $6 all you can eat pancakes!
  • Save a little money by walking to the nearby ABC store and bring back snacks and beverages for in room consumption.
  • 7:45pm every Friday there is a fireworks show! Amazing!!
  • There are at least 2 Starbucks here. Have coffee by a noisy parrot & penguins here.
  • Super long line for check in. Be prepared to wait forever..
  • Guests of the Hilton Hawaiian Village woke to a most exclusive experience in their porte cochere ...the start of Hawaii Five-0!
  • Stop by the Dairy Queen /Orange Julius store for yummy smoothies & DQ treats! Located just steps from the ocean in the Rainbow Tower! They serve hot dogs & iron grills sandwiches too!
  • Nice property, but expensive to eat and shop there. Leave the resort and eat/shop elsewhere.
  • Make sure you check at the Information desk at the Ali'i tower... you'll get a free tote bag (cheap, but great for the beach) and a coupon book with some good deals around the village.
  • Beautiful resort!! Huge! Good restaurants on the site. Beautiful views...
  • Stay in the rainbow tower ;)
  • Firework show every Friday!! Beautiful!!! The luau in the hotel is not that great! Try paradise cove for a luau! Food and show a lot better!! They pick u up at the hotel and drop u off as well
  • Indeed the Rainbow tower has a great view. But it can be noisy due to the music coming from the bar facing the tower.
  • Make sure your in the rainbow tower. Drinks are cheap...food is not.
  • Save a lot of money... Go to the Walmart behind the Ala Moana Mall. Buy an umbrella and a beach chair for less than the cost of renting for a day.
  • It's so true, long line in check in even though you have status:(
  • If you plan on coming to Waikiki, you must stay at this resort! It's an oceanfront village in itself, full of all dining and shopping venues you need. And what a wonderful welcome from the hotel staff
  • Check in line insane. Better if you are a Hilton Honors member.
  • Drinks at the bar are expensive especially beer. It's $10 a glass. They're cheaper at the Shorebird. Beware of timeshare sales reps. They'll suck you in easily.
  • If you're going to paddleboard, highly recommended, go down the beach a short ways rather than in the Hilton lagoon. Is only $12 there as opposed to $30 at the Hilton and you'll be in open water!
