Halloween Cocktail Round-Up
Celebrating the spirit of Halloween in a glass.
Make no mistake, cocktails get to play dress-up on Halloween too. There are witches and ghosts, pumpkins of course, and others made bloody or tricked out with candy.
As with any great costume, kitsch and creativity are key. Some of the best dressed start with a clever name-- cocktails designed around plays on the words "death" and "devil," and homages to the major characters of horror literature.
Then there are those that make their mark with special effects and garnishes, served in appropriately ghoulish glassware. Still, there's something to be said for the classics. Don't underestimate the power of a great pumpkin cocktail.
