Foursquare Tips

  • This is a true Texan BBQ place. I love the way it smells as soon as you get out of your car. The dark pannel walls, the massive menu's on the wall - it's what BBQ joints are supposed to be like.
  • Brisket is the bomb! Not much meat on the ribs. Tasty BBQ sauce. My fave Houston BBQ spot & love sitting on the patio listening to the Country oldies on a sunny day!
  • Easily the best pecan pie ever.
  • Hands down the BEST pecan pie in the history of the world!
  • Houston Press Best of Houston 2011 - Reader's Choice - Best BBQ
  • Youre in a WiMAX hotspot be sure to lick your fingers before jumping online to tell your friends about the finger-licking bbq at Goode Company!
  • Eat everything here... Jalapeo bread mmmm
  • Three meat plate : brisket, ribs and sausage. Solid but I like my brisket fatty. Maybe it's a Houston thing. Ribs are done well, with some chew left and paired well with that sauce.
  • Not even a BBQ person, but I love this place. The jambalaya and jalapeo cheese bread is outstanding!
  • Get a chopped beef po-boy.
  • Love this place! No matter what the naysayers say, one of the best BBQ places in Houston!
  • Fantastic place for lunch. A must visit for anyone in Houston. Everything on the menu is great. The jalapeno bread is excellent.
  • ProTip: Come here for Texas BBQ.
  • The duck is excellent
  • This place is soooo gooood. BBQ pork sandwich was awesome. Oh and the loaded baked potato - get one. Don't think twice.
  • Awesome BBQ. By far the best I've ever had. 3 Meat platter: beef brisket, spicy sausage and Pork Ribs. Side of Austin baked beans and Jambalaya Texana. Can't forget the jalapeo bread & pecan pie!!
  • Love the brisket sandwhich.. Extra jalapeos please and I'm set
  • Can't eat brisket anywhere else in Houston and say it's better. Great menu, lots of beers, and sit outside. It's almost like your own personal Texas BBQ!
  • If it is your first time here, order their Jalapeo Cheese Bread Brisket Sandwich and a cold Saint Arnold Amber. Trust me, you will like it.
  • Avoid a second trip through the line by asking for extra barbecue sauce upfront: you'll be glad you did.
