Foursquare Tips

  • Saturday special is the Coq au Vin, and it's amazing.
  • There are 24 taps, 30 or so bottles & another 10 rotating casks, drafts & bottled choices on any give night. The menu does a good job of giving you the profile so you can make a choice that suits you.
  • Mash up these 2 concepts - French fare & fancy versions of pub classics, plus a great beer lineup in a swank-by-Somerville-standards setting - & you get Foundry on Elm, & its already drawing crowds.
  • See Holly at the bar and enjoy a wonderfully prepared Seelbach
  • They played about 4 blur songs so I obviously really like it here
  • Came here single, left with a girlfriend
  • Yes, people go for the atmosphere, but the food, from poutine to bisque, is worth the caloric splurge. Read the full review at: http://now.tufts.edu/articles/dish-foundry-elm
  • The Spaetzle Entree is so good!
  • Jon loves the atmosphere and the awesome beer list at the Foundry. Check out his Favecast video recommendation of it here- http://www.favecast.com/9aDJkmnXib
  • Brunch buffet on Sundays is outstanding - be sure to try the blueberry crepes!
  • Amazing restaurant! The Beef Bourguignon and Croque Monsieur are some of my faves along with ANY of the deserts!
  • Beers are eh, this place looks like an upscale diner. It has a lot of potential but the interior needs to be completely re done. One good thing is that they are having a Goose Island Invasion
  • Bartender Andy Joy is a master of his craft. Try "The Otis" (Aka Drambuie by the Bay) and you'll know what I mean.
  • Definitely check out the flatbread with roasted pears, Gorgonzola, arugula & caramelized onions. If you're in a hurry, make sure you sit at the bar for faster service.
  • Bartenders on Saturday nights are too busy to serve anyone. Make sure you have a good spot at the bar to order.
  • Amazing food, fabulous drinks. Service can be spotty at the tables, but is usually stellar at the bar.
  • For future reference this was by the worst establishment I have been to the owner is ignorant as well as his staff if I were less of a man or how I was yrs ago he'd b on his ass 2 thumbs down.
  • Get the ode to Neruda. Awesome pisco drink!!
  • Best Old Fashions in town! Kelly is the best bartender
  • Our favorite app was a poached pear salad, mostly for the nicely dressed, giant heap of mizuna, although ripe pear and gorgonzola cheese are fine garnishes. Also try the filling, classic poutine.
