Foursquare Tips

  • My summer visit was very cold..
  • This place is almost always an asshole rodeo, but you kind of have to go anyway. Checkout the seals, catch a boat to Sausalito, etc.
  • A great "Hey, I'm in San Francisco" photo opportunity to be had here. Also lots of great restaurants and entertainment within walking distance.
  • While here, be sure to stop at Boudin Bakery and try the Sourdough and clam chowder. Avoid Nick's Lighthouse. Enjoy SFO!
  • Bay Area HOMELAND fans: Test your powers of deception in our surveillance van in the Fishermans Wharf area (near Ben and Jerrys) on 11/8, 12PM-5PM. See if you can beat the polygraph!
  • Go see it, take a photo
  • Remember in Jurassic Park II: The Lost World where the raptors sneak attack their prey by one distracting while the other goes for the kill? The seagulls do this here. Protect your food.
  • Come here in the early weekday morning for an uninterrupted view of sea lions!
  • Trust me, no tourists here. Very quiet.
  • James Bond meets CIA Agent Chuck Lee here at Fisherman's Wharf in A View to a Kill (1985) using the code, Lee: "Are you looking for anything special?", Bond: "Yes, soft shell crabs".
  • Imperdvel para quem est em So Francisco. Um Shopping ao cu aberto com diversas lojas e restaurantes. Muito bom. Vale a visita.
  • killer crabs, crab chowder and the garlic fries is amazing!
  • ... From my memory
  • Go see the seals on Pier 39, eat sourdough bread at Boudins, eat clam chowder or crab from a vendor, take pictures by the bay.
  • Watch the seals!
  • Take the street car and hold on tight!
  • You gotta visit "the sign".
  • Public restrooms can be found in the national parks center just south of the cannery.
  • If you scare easily, be sure to watch out for the World Famous Bushman who hides behind a fake bush. He'll shake the bush and jump out and try to scare you if you're not paying attention.
  • Se state mangiando all'aperto un Corn Dog attenzione ai gabbiani!!! A me, un gabbiano, ha scippato il wurstel lasciandomi solo con la stecca in mano!!! Be careful!!
