Foursquare Tips

  • U Street Girl says be prepared for a wait after 6 pm. The restaurant doesn't take reservations for parties of less then 6 after that time.
  • Small plates are not hard to come by in this neighborhood, but Estadio has probably their finest incarnation. Offering modern Spanish tapas, pintxos & a well-considered wine program. [Eater 38 Member]
  • Love the food but the snobby seating/reservations policy is just unbearable.
  • Drink up. Estadio's gin and tonic, aka the Gintonic, showcases the drink's Spanish twist. They couple Old Raj gin or Tanqueray No. 10 with house-made orange-flower tonic.
  • From the folks behind Proof - this is one of DC's hardest-to-get tables. There's a sizable wine list. Try the alcoholic slushie while you're here.
  • Try the sandwiches st the bar during lunch - delicious! I'm especially find of the lamb meatball and the ham and arugula.
  • Love this place, but Bodega is still better. I lived in Spain, trust me.. Croquetas and tortilla espanola are the tell-tales of truly authentic.
  • Plan ahead to avoid long waits at this super popular tapas spot. Make sure to get the roast corn during the warm months and the crispy brussel sprouts in the off season.
  • An ode to tapas in a chic, loftlike space. The roasted shishito peppers and the montadito (a Spanish open-faced sandwich) of duck and foie gras are menu highlights.
  • Tangerine slushito--Christmas in an icee, delicious concoction.
  • The shishito peppers are fantastic
  • Bamboo = Bitter, Dry Deliciousness
  • Hazelnut chocolate cake with expresso ice cream is where it's at!!!!
  • Don't leave here without trying the purron (sp?) ... and don't be afraid to ask the bartender for a demo!
  • Both versions of their croquettas are textbook perfect. Creamy wild mushroom with roes peppers and arugula. Jamon with pickled cucumber. Don't miss the figs wrapped in ham either.
  • Dessert is amazing. Try the Miel y mato
  • The blistered peppers are amazing
  • Best Gin and Tonic in DC
  • Must try the slushitos, especially the quince flavored one, big kick in a small glass! Estadio has a great atmosphere and friendly service.
  • Nice place.. Very good desserts
