The festival will include a variety of wine and food tastings, excursions, lectures, dinners, and a special grand wine dinner with actor and winemaker Kurt Russell. Blackhouse Hospitality has opened a new steakhouse, Steak & Whisky, in Hermosa Beach. The new restaurant brings contemporary steakhouse classics, over 200 wines and whiskies, and hand crafted cocktails.

Celestino Offers Truffle Menu in March
Pasadena’s Celestino will be offering a special truffle-infused menu through the end of March. Special dishes include veal carpaccio and risotto with fresh shaved truffle, gnocchi stuffed with mushroom in a truffle cream sauce, and tortellini with meat in a saffron and truffle sauce.

The Continental Opens in Burbank
A new bar, lounge, and restaurant, The Continental, has opened in Burbank featuring classic handcrafted cocktails, craft beer tastings, and live music.

Darren’s Restaurant Hosts Scotch Tasting Menu
Darren’s in Manhattan Beach will be co-hosting a dinner with Macallan Scotch Whisky featuring a curated five-course meal paired with a variety of Macallan Scotch drinks. Reservations for the March 16 dinner can be made by calling (310) 802-1973.

Foie Gras Returns to LA Menus
Some of L.A.’s top dining destinations are bringing foie gras back to their menus including Barton G. with a soy marinated and coal roasted foie gras, L’Asssiette with steak frites with foie gras, Katana with filet mignon wrapped foie gras, and BOA with fried polenta and foie gras.

Hutchinson Cocktails & Grill Adds Innovative Cocktails
Hutchinson Cocktails & Grill in Beverly Hills is adding innovative cocktails to their bar menu including scotch ice cubes infused with herbs and fruit, house made bottled tonics and sodas, and updating classics like the Old Fashioned and White Russian with Indonesian-inspired twists.

Shutters Offers Special Amalfi Coast Menu
Santa Monica ShuttersOne Pico restaurant will be offering an Amalfi Coast-inspired special menu from March 4 to 11 including stewed octopus; risotto infused with lemon and red shrimp; and fish stew with octopus, rockfish, and tomato.

Smokeout BBQ Opens in Silverlake
Smokeout restaurant, a new Kansas City-style barbecue restaurant, has opened in Silverlake. The menu offers brisket, pork bak ribs, cast iron cornbread, and open faced pulled pork sandwiches.
