Wendy's Unveils Newest Addition To Baconator Family

As we all know, this country loves bacon. In fact, 65 percent of Americans would support making bacon our national food, according to a survey conducted by pork supplier Smithfield.

Fortunately for them, Wendy's Baconator family is welcoming the Baconator Fries into the fold.

Starting June 29, Wendy's newest bacon-fueled dish will take its place alongside the Baconator and Son of the Baconator.

Wendy's is taking their natural-cut fries, drizzling them with cheddar cheese sauce, then topping them with apple-wood smoked bacon and shredded cheddar to create this new bacon-lover's side dish.

Unfortunately for bacon enthusiasts, these fries aren't a permanent menu item and will only be around for limited amount of time.

The Baconator, introduced in 2007, was brought on permanently in 2009 is one of Wendy's most popular menu items.

"It's a bacon nation, and we just live in it," declares The National Provisioner, a trade publication that tracks the meat business.

We'll have to wait and see how the Baconator French fries go over, but with the popularity of bacon right now, they seem set to succeed.
