Chef Missy Robbins Heads To Chicago For The James Beard Foundation's Taste America Dinner Oct. 14

The James Beard Foundation continues its fourth annual Taste America tour on Oct. 14 in Chicago. The foundation is traveling to 10 cities across the country to host one-of-a-kind fundraising dinners highlighting local cuisine and headlined by a visiting all-star chef and local star chef, as well as cooking demos, artisanal tastings, and book signings.

The exclusive dinner benefiting the James Beard Foundation will take place at LondonHouse Chicago with the cocktail and tasting reception beginning at 6 p.m. Dinner begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature a menu crafted by Taste America all-star chef Missy Robbins of Lilia in Brooklyn; local star and James Beard Award winner Jimmy Bannos, Jr. of The Purple Pig; pastry chef Aya Fukai of Maple & Ash; and host chef Jacob Verstegen. The night will be emceed by James Beard Award winner Donnie Madia Gianfrancisco of One Off Hospitality Group.

The reception will feature tastings from the Abe Conlon of Fat Rice; Sarah Grueneberg of Monteverde; Perry Hendrix of Avec; and Lee Wolen of Boka.
