Chef Louis DiBiccari's Fourth-Annual CREATE Returns To Boston This June

CREATE, chef Louis DiBiccari of Tavern Road's annual celebration of art, drink, food, and the possible relationships between them all will return to Boston's Battery Wharf Hotel in on Sunday, June 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. A first this year, the event will also feature live musical performances from DJ TJ Connelly, Moe Pope, and Tigerman WOAH.

Chefs and bartenders will be paired with visual artists, working together to determine a theme that each team member will then use to inform a new creation within their medium of expertise – such as a dish, drink, or piece of art – that they will make.

Now in its fourth year, CREATE draws inspiration from chef DiBiccari's life-long ties to Boston's local artistic collective and mixes it with his infectious passion for good food and strong community. A fixture in the culinary scene for nearly two decades, the chef earned his chops working at L'Espalier, Sage, and Sel de la Terre, all while simultaneously hosting Iron Chef-style dinner parties in his spare time.

Growing up, DiBiccari was heavily influenced by his Uncle Adio, an American master sculptor whose studio was located on Tavern Road—the namesake of his restaurant. While living in the Fort Point neighborhood about a decade ago, he witnessed the breadth of his city's artistic talent firsthand, and has been determined to cast a spotlight on it ever since.
