Eastern North Carolina-style Vinegar-Based Barbecue Sauce
- 1 1/2 quarts cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon + 3/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 1/8 Tablespoon black pepper
- 2 1/4 Teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 Cup water
A hot and tangy barbecue with a little sweetness that is traditional to the Eastern North Carolina-style.
Mix together in a container and pour over chopped barbecue to taste.
