Drink in the Allure of Alaska at These Breweries and Distilleries

Southeast Alaska has a myriad of breweries and distillers to tour and enjoy

Two beer enthusiasts enjoy a brew from the Alaskan Brewing Company.

Alaskan Brewing Company, Juneau
You simply can’t visit Juneau without making a visit to the Alaskan Brewing Company.

Once there, you will find friendly brewers eager to share samples of their flagship brew, Alaskan Amber, as well as other beers on tap such as their stout, Hot Scotch, smoked porter, and raspberry wheat.

If you can’t make it out to visit the brewery, visit their new Outpost store, conveniently located at The Wharf, right off the Juneau dock!

Find out more about their incredible Beer Powered Beer initiative.  They’re a great brewery with a passion for both of brewing beer and giving back to their community.

Anchorage Distillery, Anchorage
If you love fresh spirits that can stand on their own, then the Anchorage Distillery is a must-stop. This distillery has a nicely decorated tasting room and spirits with big, bold flavors.

Make sure not to miss their raspberry and blueberry vodkas, which are made using fresh berries, giving them a naturally sweet, fruity flavor that can only be achieved with genuine berries.

Port Chilkoot Distillery, Haines
If you don’t immediately fall in love with Heather and Sean, owners of the Port Chilkoot Distillery in Haines, Alaska, you will definitely fall in love with their distillery and their moonshine.

Some of the finest, smoothest, clearest moonshine I’ve ever tasted, Heather and Sean bring distilling to an entirely new level.

Visit their charming and tastefully decorated tasting room, where you can try their spirits poured straight from the bottle, or have them mix you a unique cocktail.
