Don’t you just love Halloween? The season is full of bright colors, adorable décor, and fun activities. One activity in particular, pumpkin carving, is a beloved pastime for families and friends every fall season. But carving a pumpkin isn’t an intuitive thing. Many people rely on pumpkin stencils for pumpkin carving patterns from a book. However, making your own pumpkin carving pattern is an easy project that can be as easy as 1-2-3! This way, your pumpkin will be the most distinctive on the block. After you’ve hollowed out your pumpkin and prepped it for carving, here’s how to get started on your design:
On a blank sheet of paper, use a permanent marker to draw a silhouette figure. Try something like a simple ghost or black cat to get you started.
Color in the area you need to carve out.
Tape the design to the pumpkin.
Trace the pattern onto the pumpkin by using a sewing needle or a thumbtack. You want to outline the colored-in area, so when you carve, that is the area that is popped out.
