Foursquare Tips

  • 18 Draft Beers? Most excellent! Prost.
  • Try one of 18 Deutsch brews on tap, 20 by the bottle, and traditional foods like wurst, schnitzel, and of course, sausage.
  • The small pretzel is delicious! But beware, the large one is too doughy.
  • Look for sausages and pretzels from Der Schwarze Klner at our Brooklyn Pour craft beer festival, Oct. 6 at Skylight One Hanson in BK!
  • Wouldn't call this a beer garden, but great regardless. Service was prompt, the food was great (get extra curry ketchup), and plenty of beer to choose from. Cash only though, so leave the plastic home
  • Dayum they got the Dexter 28!!! 11murrddereffin%
  • Large windows (which open to the street) and floor-to-ceiling potted plants give the place a beer-garden feel. There are 18 German beers on tap and a small selection of wurst and cheese.
  • bitte ein bit!
  • Chunk a cheese. Some pickled and a beer!!!
  • Beer and wine only. Authentic german food to boot. Not a bad hangover spot
  • A large selection of German beer, a close walk to Ft. Greene Park (date tip: picnic), and plenty of Europeans to discuss the finer points of the Bundesliga and Goethe with.
  • One word, two syllables: brat-wurst
  • Get the Franziskaner Hefe Weisse
  • Request to drink out of the boot. Don't be a jerk and steal the boot.
  • only got a few mins to spare? drop in for a quick 0.2L glass of kolsch (for a mere $3)
  • Drink beer out of a glass boot, but remember to not point the toe up.
  • New Menu! Get the German Mac & Cheese and a .5 liter of Aventinus
  • It will always be Der Schwarze Klner to me!
  • Bratwurst with curry ketchup is a must!! Sit at the bar to chat with the friendly bartenders & see all the awesome beers on tap.
  • The DSK folks only tap German kegseach of which has its own corresponding set of mugs. All of the sausages are delicious, but branch out and order the Leberkse ($5), German meatloaf on a roll.
