Denver Beer Co. Makes Beer For Bryce Harper

Baseball player Bryce Harper's now infamous answer to a reporter asking about Canada's drinking age — "That's a clown question, bro" — has inspired a new beer from the Mile High City.

Denver Beer Co. is making its "Clown Question, Bro" Canadian lager for when Harper and the Nationals play the Rockies at Coors Field. Charlie Berger from the Denver Beer Co. said to Westword that the lager will be similar to its Kokanee brew.  "Maybe he'll come here, although he can't drink it here," Berger said. "It is definitely his favorite beer, and maybe we'll serve it with a big red clown nose."

Harper's infamous comment was a response to a Toronto reporter, asking whether he'd drink a beer in honor of his home run against the Blue Jays. While the 19-year-old star is underage in the United States, he could drink it back in Canada, where the legal age to drink is 18 or 19 (depending on the province).

The beer will be available on June 25, just in time for the Rockies/Nationals series.
