Foursquare Tips

  • quality southern fare with great local beers + ace cocktails! Found this beauty on Supper:
  • Contigo's beer garden, craft cocktails and locally sourced, inventive food from Chef Andrew Wiseheart embody everything that's key to a great Austin restaurant right this second. [Eater 38 Member]
  • The menus great for snacking and sharing, and unless your partys big enough to fill a picnic table, youll get to know your neighbor, too. Its that kind of place, and we really love this place.
  • Plenty of parking, which is always a rare surprise for Austin bars.
  • Contigo has the dcor of a South Texas ranch, but the menu takes a few chances! How about a Pigs blood Mary? It's a bloody Mary made with pig blood, bloody Mary mix, and comes with or without vodka!
  • Add an order of crispy green beans with your beer. You'll thank me later.
  • Shittiest foursquare tips ever...this place is AMAZING! Biscuits and gravy w/ chicken fried quail? Yes please! House pickles, bean dip with duck fat, and ox tongue sliders? I'll be back. Tomorrow :)
  • Dog-friendly! Crispy green beans are delicious. Also, if you like peaty scotch, try the El Jefe cocktail.
  • Beef tongue hash sounds weird, but it's a winner. Get a poached egg on top!
  • The El Jefe cocktail left the menu years ago, but they're still happy to make it on request. It's smoky and spicy, made with bourbon, Laphroaig, maraschino, lemon, bitters, and ginger beer.
  • The homemade biscuits are incredibly flaky and the ox tongue hash with poached egg is a favorite. Plenty of hair of the dog options if it's that kind of brunch.
  • Hot: Lomo: air dried pork loin (like prosciutto), marinated olives; pig-head bacon , pickled tomatillo. Not: house pickles; bean dip.
  • Refreshing modern cocktails featuring seasonal ingredients abound at this patio destination. Tequila and bourbon lead the menu, which is otherwise filled with cold cocktails suited to beat the heat.
  • Great outdoor seating!
  • Oh my goodness!! The Ox Tongue Sliders are delicious!!! Try them :)
  • Make sure to get an extra piece of baguette to soak up the sauce from the mussels.
  • I'm a big fan of the beef tongue hash for brunch...but the relaxed outdoor vibe is the killer app here.
  • Ox tongue sliders... Divine
  • Amazing ambiance, plenty of parking and seating (it's 90% outdoors). There is clear care and thought put into the cocktail menu - with some very interesting mixes. Must have: Brussels Sprouts!
  • The rabbit and dumplings, cradled in an iron skillet, is an unexpected favorite.
