Popular pizza and wine bar, new German-style patio bar concept, both conceived by Joseph Palladino, to open August 10

Dallas, TX  (RestaurantNews.com)  Construction began last week on two hot restaurant concepts going into the new eatery space outside the entrance to the Omni Dallas Hotel. Both restaurants – Coal Vines and the all-new Biergarten on Lamar – were conceived and are owned by Dallas restaurateur Joseph Palladino.

Coal Vines is a popular pizza and wine bar concept renowned for its signature New York-style pizzas, salads, pastas, entrée specials and desserts. It offers an extensive selection of stellar wines by the bottle or glass. The Omni location will be its fourth in the DFW Metroplex.

Biergarten on Lamar is a modern take on the classic German-style beer garden, complete with an outdoor patio. The perfect place for conventioneers to relax, roll up their sleeves and do business, Biergarten is also a great destination for downtown Dallas residents and professionals. It features an ivy-covered outside patio and a timeless interior design with white brick, light woods and a warm, casual setting.

Ric Levit of Concept Resource Group is managing both projects.

“With all the exciting growth going on in downtown Dallas, it’s important that we grow along with it,” said Palladino. “Coal Vines is a perfect fit for the new space at the Omni, and I can’t think of a better place to debut our Biergarten concept. I know locals and visitors alike are going to enjoy both of these unique restaurants.”

Palladino, a former New York City police officer who has become one of Dallas’ most respected and successful restaurateurs, also owns Nick & Sam’s and Nick & Sam’s Grill. He is heading to Germany next month to hand-select the beers and other menu items that will be served at Biergarten on Lamar.

Both restaurants are scheduled to open for business on Monday, August 10. Each will comprise 3,400 square feet and, together, will bring 60-70 new jobs to downtown Dallas.

In addition to its regular fare, Coal Vines and Biergarten will offer a delicious brunch service on weekends.
