  • if you're a local get a season pass, dropping in for a walk with your dog to listen to music in the summer is awesome... and try the hot chocolate!
  • If you love photography, the best time of day for a visit and best pictures is early!!! Soft light, and a nice dew on the leaves and petals. Beat the daytime rush too!
  • Lovely holiday lights, musical entertainment, Carousel & an ice rink! Great winter fun!

  • Tea service at the main dining room is wonderful. If weather is nice, ask for an outdoor table when reserving. Enjoyed their flight of wines accompanying tea service - nicely paired!

  • The highlight is the sunken garden. Go in the late afternoon, have dinner and then go back to the sunken garden for the night walk. The fireworks are county fair not Disney bring a blanket to sit on.
  • Listen to the carollers every hour at Christmas. One of the few indulgences Christmas has in our world.
  • Make sure you visit the Japanese garden, the view of Todd inlet at the bottom is amazing!
  • You can return tomorrow for a small $4 fee!
  • I suggest you plan for a late afternoon visit, enjoy dinner in the dinning room, then walk through the gardesn again at night (gardens colourfully lit up), then enjoy the fireworks. It is like visitin
  • If you want a seat at the fireworks, bring a warm blanket to sit on and set it up at least 2 hrs prior to show, then walk the gardens and get back to the blanket 30mins before fireworks start
