Foursquare Tips

  • Anthony Bourdain recommends this insane Italian beer garden and rustic style eatery.
  • Fine rooftop view, but no smoking.
  • Try the smoky Maitake con Pecorino Sardo. Tender roasted maitake mushrooms rest on a rich bed of Sardinian smoked sheeps-milk cheese. Its one of our #100best dishes and drinks of 2011.
  • Recommended dishes: Fried shiitakes; cured meat and cheese plates; insalata cotta cruda; pork shoulder; skirt steak; chicken thigh; sauerkraut; family-style piatto misto of pork; desserts.
  • This is what happens when the entrepreneurial food world collides on a NYC rooftop. Not the best views, but maybe the best beers. Ben T., Creative
  • No question, it's the best barbecue in the city. But the best part is the casual and playful atmosphere Its tough not to meet new people and to break $50 for dinner for two.
  • If you get a plate of cheeses, definitely get the ricotta. Goes really well with the honey/fig/nut medley they serve with it...
  • They're kinda assholes here. Not allowed to sit at the tables unless u order an entree even tho the place is completely empty. Lame
  • Try the house brew 'Gina' a Thyme Pale Ale for a herby twist on a classic.
  • The beers - brewed here by Brooks Carretta - are named for famous Italian women. Try the Gina, an American Pale Ale brewed with thyme, or the Wanda, their dark English Mild brewed with chestnuts.
  • wait in line, to be disapointed
  • Theres nothing like a rooftop bar to make you feel like a New Yorker. La Birreria (001 212 937 8910) is a new brewery on the roof of the Eataly building, chef Mario Batalis Italian food emporium.
  • mushrooms - out of this world
  • Try the Pork Shoulder - A life changing dish!
  • Get the Baladin super!!
  • Epic skirt steak
  • Aqui tem de tudo, parece com a budega da esquina da minha rua!
  • The wifi user/password are guest/fall2012
  • Crappy hostesses but the beer is great
  • Try a Dogfish Head (DFH) beer. They're a really top-notch microbrewery
