Easy and fun to make, these cute little square burgers are flattened out in a 10 x 14 inch pan between sheets of Saran wrap, shaped into 2 1/2 inch squares, frozen for easily separating the squares, then cooked in a cast iron skillet with pre-soaked, dried, chopped onions. Fun to eat! I did not add the 5 holes in the burger squares as is famous for White Castle sliders because White Castle uses the holes to quickly cook their burgers without having to flip. I chose to flip and brown my burgers on both sides so omitted the holes.

Found this recipe on the web. Honestly, I've never had a White Castle slider but the photos looked so amazing I just had to keep this recipe and share it. They can be prepared ahead of time and reheated.....see 'note'.
