Tiger nuts
“If you like rice-based Mexican horchata, I know you’ll appreciate this Spanish-style version just as much. I always drink it when I go back home to Spain. Made from tiger nuts, this beverage is sweet, creamy and refreshing. It’s also packed with health benefits from its key ingredient.”Recipe published with permission courtesy of Nuts.com. Horchata is a milky white, sweet beverage that is very popular in South America, Mexico and Spain. In El Salvador, they often times add ground morro seed for additional flavor. I am omitting that part of the recipe because it is hard to find here. Other common flavors that are sometimes added are nutmeg, allspice, or a squeeze of lime

I'm addicted to this stuff. I've been making this just about everyday for my little one and I...just as long as I dont run out of rice. Lol. My son loves it just and much as I do. I was surprised. Horchata reminds me of home. I'm originally from Cali and recently moved to Ohio. They don't make it here so, after researching and tweaking recipes to my liking...I finally got it right. Hope y'all enjoy as much as we do.
