Pear, Gorgonzola, and Caramelized Onion Galette
It is not often that I make something that I have no name for. Such is the story of this... whatever. I am going to call it a galette. You can call it a tart, my father-in-law called it a pizza. No matter the name, it tastes the same. Creamy, crunchy, and tart, this galette is so versatile. This galette will tempt you from the first bite! This is a great app, side, or dessert with a nice glass of pinot grigio. I used gorgonzola here, but that was because the store I went to was out of Roquefort cheese. You can also use a milder blue cheese if you would like. You can, by all means, make your own crust here but seriously... Do you really have the time? If you do, don't tell me. I don't, so I use store-bought from time to time. Now purists... Don't get your drawers in a bunch. I do make my own crusts and freeze for later use, but during busy family get-togethers, when I am making three of these and a ton of other things, my crust comes from the little blue can. OK? So without further ado... here is my Pear, Gorgonzola, and Caramelized Onion Galette! You're welcome.

Reliving the same day over and over sounds like a nightmare — until you start to realize, it means you can eat whatever you want. Sign us up! Glazed doughnuts, pecan sticky buns, strawberry milkshakes: Bill Murrary’s stuck-in-time character Phil says, bring it on. However, Rita, his love interest, serves as the voice of reason: “Don’t you worry about cholesterol, lung cancer, love handles?” He shoves an entire slice of white cake with pink frosting into his mouth to show just how much he doesn’t worry. Point: proven. The pale color and tender pliability of the cake could only be one thing: angel food, whose light-as-air batter is mostly meringue, with a bit of flour. Our Groundhog-inspired version — angel food cupcakes with raspberry buttercream — is individually portioned, so, theoretically, you could eat your cake in just one bite. Just please: don’t.     Click here to see 15 Star-Quality Recipes from Famous '90s Movies

Apple Pie with Cream Cheese Pie Crust
Here it is, the pie I made earlier this week with cream cheese and apples picked at a friend’s wedding in Santa Cruz. I ended up taking this apple pie to my office after I photographed it, and there wasn’t anything left on the plate by the time I came back 15 minutes later.

Bobby Flay is known for taking things to the next level, especially when he's competing in his throwndowns. This pumpkin pie has a cinnamon-flavored graham cracker crust and rich filling that with muscovado sugar that redfines the standards of a pumpkin pie. To top it all off (literally), he smears bourbon-maple whipped cream all over his pie and finishes it with a sprinkle of cinnamon-flavored oats.
