Foursquare Tips

  • Good beer and clam chowder!
  • This brewpub features a 3-6-9 happy hour. It goes Monday-Friday 3-6pm and 9-close, and includes a menu of drinks and appetizers that are $3, $6, or $9.
  • Do not pass up the mussels in white wine, cilantro and garlic sauce with Spanish chorizo and grilled sourdough wedge. Incredible!
  • Skip the wait and go right to the bar. Give the Presidio IPA a taste if you haven't already. If you time your visit with sunset it makes the experience even better.
  • WORST fish and chips. Mediocre food and hard to believe that this is suppose to be one of kevin rose's favorite restaurants. To be fair, it has a nice ocean view.
  • There is no salt or pepper on the tables (a growing trend depending on the level of pretentiousness) so ask if you need it.
  • Come for happy hour (3-6 P.M. & 9 P.M. until close) and stay for the unbeatable view of the ocean. They brew their own quality beer and have great prices during happy hour ($4 for a 22-oz draft).
  • I really only go for the view...you should too
  • Breakfast was great. Views of the beach are awesome!
  • Eat at the bar people. No wait!
  • Waited 30 minutes without service. Turn around and go elsewhere.
  • Nice seafood with a view.
  • Definitely get the Beach Basil Ginger. By far the best drink of our entire 2-week stay here in San Francisco.
  • Meh food, it's all about the settings
  • Pricier than the Park Chalet downstairs, but you may be able to land a seat with a view of the beach and waves outside!
  • So if @kevinrose likes this then, oh boy so do I @samdownie . Get the Fish & Chips, very tasty. To go with it try the V.F.W light beer. And do get a table by the window.
  • Had hair in salad. And the waitress did nothing.
  • Useless hostess, terrible waiter, seafood pasta was SUPER SPICY (?!), beer served w cap on, fish n chips burnt, no mussels or scallops at 7pm, no bread, etc.
  • Great view, terrible everything else.
  • Beer Chalet's SF Beer Week does not start at 11 as the listing suggested. If starts at 5. Do not make this mistake because they cannot accommodate you as their site suggests.
