Foursquare Tips

  • Did you know there's a bar hidden in the back? It's rad.
  • Eat the local, organic chicken. Say "yum". Give a terrorist fist jab to the closest person.
  • Bastille recently lost bar manager Charles Veitch to New York, but it recruited Moshi Moshi's Erik Carlson to replace him. And Carlson ably fills the shoes. Try the Bankhead Cocktail, only $10.
  • What an allstar game is to a sports fan, Bastille is to a Seattle restaurant geek like myself.
  • Seattle Urban Farm Co. maintains the garden atop this Ballard neighborhood hangout where you're likely to find salads, herb-encrusted salmon, and rosemary lemonade made with roof-sourced ingredients.
  • Order an improved whiskey cocktail. Enjoy a modern old-fashioned.
  • Not only do they have a great dinner menu, their breakfast menu is delicious!
  • If you go, go to the back bar. Just don't tell anyone else.
  • No Lamb Burger now or ever again...
  • Reminder: don't eat here again, it was awful.
  • Amazing brunch! Esp. The brioche French toast and lavender w/ hazelnuts. Duck confit hash is out of this world. And always deeply consider the special, best I've had was ramps, eggs, and potatoes.
  • the food is top notch for the French guy that I am, but the customers are LOUD!!!!!
  • Bastille delivers a lively shot of Paris to Ballard Ave. This bistro is at its best the farther it ventures from the bistro classics.
  • Sounds like a no brainer, but seriously....pay the extra two bucks for truffle oil on the frites. YUM!!
  • Try Bastille in Ballard - looks amazingly like Balthazar in New York and deliciously divine. Try the Octopus Appetizer and their fresh Formage.
  • Hail yes steak tartare.
  • Steak tartare, Oysters & improved whiskey cocktail. Pomme Frites if you need carbs :)
  • Always great brunch. The eggs Benedict on too of French bread with grilled red peppers was incredible. And great Bloody Mary!
  • Try the Duck Confit - Nom worthy
  • Can be a tough table to get, but completely worth the wait. If your thirsty, order the Bees Knees- a great cocktail made from honey harvested from their rooftop beehives.
