Foursquare Tips

  • Perfection is served in the form of halva creme brle.
  • Bar Bolonat is the new modern Israeli restaurant from Einat Admony. The menu includes shrimp in "Yemenite curry," kibbeh stuffed with spiced beef, & steak with freekeh salad and tahini.
  • Get the Jerusalem bagel, cauliflower, shrimp and dorade
  • Bar Bolonat kicks Israeli cuisine into overdrive. Order the Jerusalem bagels, they're baked & paired with olive oil and a cup of za'atar, a fragrant blend of oregano, thyme, savory, sumac and salt.
  • Go for the curried shrimp
  • This place is beyond amazing! I haven't experienced such fabulous food since being in Israel!

  • Try everything. Even the cauliflower is great.
  • Reservation was at 8:15 - we were seated at 9pm (annoying). But other than that, the food was pretty delicious. The bagel, Cauliflower and lamb were stand outs. Leave room for the creme brle.
  • Order the poussin! So good; and perfect for two! Artichokes are also delish.
  • The artichokes are amazing and Yemenite shrimp curry are as unique as delicious.
  • Get the tagine: DELICIOUS
  • This place is much different than your average Jewish Israeli food joint. Most places offer only Ashkenazi (Eastern European) recipes. Bar Bolonat on the other hand is Sephardic, real Middle Eastern!
  • The food is delicious, eggplant is outstanding, so is short rib, kibbeh, the meatballs and the fried olives!!!
  • Bronzino, mushrooms, and couscous!!
  • Delicious place with great servers. The cauliflower and the eggplant were fabulous but everything was good
  • Pull up an inventive, geometric chair at Israeli-Middle Eastern eatery Bar Bolonats bar, offering a welcoming atmosphere and a full (and delicious) menu.
  • Jeru bagel of course. The octo was great. Fatoosh salad was alright
