While you’re preparing the breadsticks for this year’s Christmas dinner, twist a few slices of bacon in them and bend them into candy cane shapes. That’ll start a few fights over the bread basket this year.

Ingredients

  • One  package Pillsbury original breadsticks
  • 1/2  Pound  bacon
  • 3  Tablespoons  olive oil

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. 

Twist each raw breadstick with a slice of bacon. Brush with olive and bake for 20 minutes.

Bacon Shopping Tip

Look for center cut bacon which comes from a leaner part of the belly - you'll get more meat and less fat.

Bacon Cooking Tip

Cook bacon over medium to medium-low heat to prevent it from burning, and occasionally pour off the fat. You can save it for later use as a cooking oil.
